Weather & Climate in Fontainebleau
The best time of year to go bouldering in Fontainebleau can vary depending on what you like. In the winter months the weather gives good friction but chances are that it will rain when you’re there. In the summer there is little chance of rain but the friction on the harder problems isn’t as good. Spring and Autumn is the when the majority of climbers go to Font. It is a balancing act – just like the locals will tell you about the climbing!!
During your bouldering trip in Fontainebleau you will be staying in one of the many Bed & Breakfasts or self-catering gites in the city of Fontainebleau itself or in one of the other picturesque villages in the forest such as Chapelle la Reine or Milly la Foret. Flights and Transfers
We recommend to fly into Charles De Gaulle Airport. From there take a train to the center of Fontainebleau, where you will be picked up by your climbing instructor. Being close to Paris means that if you wanted to extend your trip you can enjoy a city trip to Paris.
