Danny Brown
Danny Brown (MIA) has been working as a climbing instructor and climbing coach (Development Coach) for 25 years. Besides his passion for rock climbing, he loves being on the water. He is a paddling coach (Level 4 Kayak, Level 3 Sea, Level 3 Open Canoe, Level 3 Surf). He has worked for the national centres in Wales and across the UK. Further afield he has worked as a trek leader and climbing guide in the Himalayas, Madagascar, Mongolia, the Alps and more. He has climbed extensively in the UK and in the USA, Australia, throughout Europe and Morocco.
Danny particularly enjoys climbing on sea cliffs but is also happy sport climbing or ice climbing. He basically loves spending time in the outdoors doing something active and adventurous.
Danny Brown is also a Physiotherapist and specialises in climbing injuries. He has worked with many members of the British Climbing Team, combining his experience with elite youth coaching and being able to give good advice on their training, health and well-being. When it comes to climbing, coaching and injury-prevention he is the right climbing instructor to learn from.
Danny Brown runs Rock & Sun courses in the Bristol area and the Wye Valley. He can be your climbing instructor on an Intro to Rock Climbing Weekend, Learn to Lead Sport Climbing Weekend, or a Learn to Lead Trad Climbing Weekend. His vast experience with rock climbing, coaching and knowing the area really well means you will be in good hands.
Danny Brown is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors.
