Carefree and amazing climbing holiday

I would recommend this experience to both novice and veteran climbers.

Communication and transfers:
Throughout the planning process, Des remained easy to reach and thorough in her responses to all of my questions. Upon arrival at the airport, she connected our group via WhatsApp to ensure we found one another, the shuttle, and then Trev at the drop-off location.

Accommodations:
The accommodations at the villa were good. Common areas included a pool overlooking the valley and the mountains (so pretty!), lounge chairs for sunning, a full kitchen, laundry, a comfy couch, yoga mats, etc. The bedrooms were clean and equipped with linens and towels.

Climbing:
Des and Trev are knowledgeable guides who curate itineraries that consider the weather and sun exposure/shade to ensure that you get the maximum amount of climbing in each day. Approaches are short and easy to navigate and route selections are based on the abilities of group members ensuring each climber is appropriately challenged. The rock itself is solid with really fun features!

Coaching:
Des and Trev are proficient climbers who promote safe climbing practices and efficient climbing techniques. They provide thoughtful feedback on movement and route finding improving any climber’s abilities. They both do a great job of dividing their time between climbers to tailor their support, education, and coaching.

Miscellaneous:
In addition to being excellent guides, Des and Trev are fun to be around. After climbing, our group went out for beers one night and to the beach and a restaurant another rounding out the trip well.

Summary:
Aside from being stressed about falling on a route or two, the entire holiday was carefree and amazing. I learned a lot and can already see improvements in my climbing. I’d be stoked to travel and climb with Rock and Sun again.
