Long Weekend Climbing Costa Blanca

The long weekend climbing trips in the Costa Blanca are great for people who want to go on a short climbing holiday. Fly on Friday morning and come back on Monday evening and you will feel you have had a proper break. The Costa Blanca's beautiful blue sees and the green hillsides and vineyards in the Jalon valley have an immediate relaxing effect. Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, have your breakfast outside in the warm sunshine, and go for a beer and delicious meal after climbing.

Long Weekend Climbing Costa Blanca

During the long weekend there will be three days of climbing. On these days one of our fully qualified climbing instructors will take you to the best climbing venues in the area, to suit your climbing level and aspirations, as well as the weather conditions. The Costa Blanca has an incredible amount of rock so there is always a crag to suit everyone, all year-round.

The climbing weekend can be totally tailored to your preferences. Climb as many routes as you like. Learn to lead climb. Work on improving your climbing technique and on moving more efficiently. Or focus on other aspects of your climbing that you would like to improve, such as fears, insecurities and other mental aspects of climbing. Simply let our climbing guides know and they will aim to give you the best possible climbing experience.

Suggested minimum grade: We recommend that climbers joining the Long Weekend in the Costa Blanca can easily toprope F5 on an indoor wall before coming on this trip. We do not have a maximum grade: all grades F5 and up are welcome.

Costa Blanca Accommodation

You will be staying in a self-catering villa with swimming pool in Lliber in the Jalon Valley. It is an extremely spacious detached finca, boasting magnificent views over the valley's vineyards, almond and olive groves, set against the Col de Rates in the background. The villa is completely private, has many outside areas to enjoy both in winter and summer, and has a lovely outside kitchen and barbecue area. The villa has a very large lounge with dining area and fire place and a fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen. There are three twin bedrooms, a bathroom and one double room that also functions as a family/triple room with its own bathroom. The beds and mattresses are of high quality to assure a good night's sleep in between long and intense climbing days.

The villa is located in a secluded and quiet area in the beautiful green hills behind Lliber, yet within walking distance of amenities. The nearest restaurant is about a mile away. The bars and restaurants on main square of the picturesque village of Lliber are at 2,5 km. It is 4 km to Jalon with a big choice of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. There is Wifi at the villa.

Flights and Transfers

Fly into Alicante Airport, Costa Blanca, Spain.

We offer one free transfer to your accommodation (on arrival day, Friday) which departs from Alicante Airport. To take advantage of this service, your flight needs to land at 14pm the latest. 

On departure day (Monday) we offer one free transfer to Alicante Airport which departs the villa after your climbing day. To take advantage of this free airport drop off service, your flight needs to depart after 20pm.

If you wish to travel to the accommodation independently, or if you can't buy a flight within these hours, transfers may be arranged, subject to availability, on alternative days/times at your cost. Contact us for more information.

The transfer time from Alicante to the Jalon valley is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

• Friday: arrival at Alicante Airport. Free transfer to accommodation in Jalon valley (for flights landing before 14pm). Opportunity to do groceries. Relax and hang out by the villa or explore the charming village.
• Saturday: single pitch sport climbing and coaching with certified climbing guide.
• Sunday: climbing/coaching
• Monday: climbing/coaching till afternoon. Free transfer to Alicante Airport (for flights departing after 20pm).
