Weather & Climate in Albarracin
Albarracin has the great advantage of offering year-round bouldering. At 900 metres above sea level, the air is cooler than other, much warmer, lower-climbing regions in Spain. The best time to go climbing in Albarracin is from September till May. We also run trips in June, July and August. Although the weather can be hot during these months, in our experience there is usually a good breeze, dry air and temperatures cool down during the night which altogether creates good bouldering conditions, even in the midst of summer.
We offer long weekends (3 nights) from Friday till Monday, but can also organise week long holidays on request.

Bouldering Guide
Your instructor for this Bouldering Trip in Albarracin is Trevor Massiah or Chris Newton Goverd. Both know the area really well and will find the best boulders for you to try. With decades of experience in climbing coaching they will be able to work with you to achieve the goals you’ve set yourself for this trip.

The booking experience was very easy, and we felt well-informed about the process. The destination is absolutely beautiful and the climbing itself was fantastic. Trevor and Desiree were really kind and patient, and excellent with both coaching and motivating us. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go on another Rock & Sun adventure in the future :)

Chris was really accommodating to everybody’s level of climbing and is very passionate about what he does! Around town he played tour guide which for me was perfect as I hardly speak a word of Spanish so he ordered for me and helped me pay for items. I have already recommended Rock and Sun to fellow climbers and I plan to come back.

I couldn’t ask for better. Everything went smoothly. Chris walked me through the basics and helped me to progress to my next level. I did my first V5.
