Mark Stevenson
Mark Stevenson started exploring the Scottish Highlands as a young Scout and then progressed onto rock climbing and alpine mountaineering whilst studying at Cambridge University.
Over the last 25 years he has participated in all aspects of climbing and mountaineering varying from climbing 6000m peaks in the Pamirs, to Alpine rock routes and Winter climbing back in Scotland. He has climbed very extensively throughout the UK, including in 2007 climbing sixty of Britain’s most famous rock climbs (featured in the iconic book Hard Rock) over a hectic five weeks.
He has twenty years of experience as a climbing instructor and is still as enthusiastic about climbing as he has ever been. Based in Oxford he regularly runs courses in Dorset, the Wye Valley and the Peak District from Spring through to the Autumn. Most Winters he spends back in Scotland teaching winter climbing and mountaineering.
