Julian Walker -
Director of Rock & Sun Worldwide Ltd

Julian has been climbing for 32 years, throughout the UK and across Europe with additional excursions to Australia, Thailand, and Morocco. Originally brought up on traditional climbing on the Swanage sea cliffs and later Pembroke, he’s more likely to be seen these days sports climbing in Cheddar or deep water soloing in Dorset.

In 1992, Julian co-founded Undercover Rock Ltd., operators of the Bristol Climbing Centre which continues to this day as the regional centre of excellence and one of the UK’s most successful and influential walls. For a few years, he managed to combine his involvement in the climbing centre with his professional career as a professional mechanical engineer. Ultimately, the call of climbing proved too strong and he’s now dedicated to working at Undercover Rock.

Julian has known Chris NG, the founder of Rock and Sun, for many years. It comes as no surprise that they’ve agreed to work together whereby Rock and Sun holidays & courses in the UK, Europe, Asia and Africa will be run by Rock and Sun Worldwide Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Undercover Rock. His ambition is to introduce Rock and Sun customers to his other favourite climbing destinations worldwide.
