The ultimate goal of this 2 day course is to become confident to go out with a group of friends, rig anchors and use a crag as you would a climbing wall. Also, by the end of this course, you should feel able to go out with someone more experienced than yourself and hold your own while following them up routes.

This two day course is designed for those wishing to lead on rock without having to rely on their own protection. Using bolts, rather than traditional gear, gives you the opportunity to work routes right at your physical limit, learning the moves before attempting ground up ascents.

Prior to attending a training course you must be registered with the Mountain Leader Training Board (MLTE) and have received a logbook.
