Accommodation:
Private bungalows for two at Rapala Resort at Railey east Beach.
Prices are based on two people sharing a room. If you require a single room please contact us as soon as possible.
Preparation:
This is a guided holiday NOT an instructed holiday. Your guide will show you all the crags and the secret little known ones also, he will show you the best of everything. He is not an instructor. You need to be a competent sports climbers with outdoor experience, climbing competently on lead at a minimum F4.
You need to be able to belay, risk assess, look after your own and your climbing partners safety and lower off sports routes.

Krabi does offer many additional activities such as:
Scuba Diving
Elephant rides
Snorkeling
Island hopping
Kayaking
Day trip to Hong Island, Paradise Beach
Tom & Jiab can recommend where to book these if you wish and can help you to book on arrival.
Important things to remember:
Passport & Visas; UK citizens will need 6 months remaining on their passport and a 30 day visa will be issued to you on arrival. For citizens outside the UK please check that your passport and visas are legal for entry into Thailand. Further info can be found at www.thaiconsul-uk.com
Vaccines; please speak to your doctor regarding the correct immunisations and health precautions to make before, during and after your trip.
Travel Insurance documents need to be brought with you.
Spending money for drinks, lunches, any extra activities and souvenirs
Flights:
Fly into Krabi Airport, Thailand.
Tom & Jiab will meet you from the airport and take you to your room at the Rapala Resort at Railey Beach via taxi and long-tail boat. We will be waiting in the arrivals hall holding a Rock & Sun card with your name on. If your arrival time changes, please call the number issued on your booking confirmation.
What to Bring
You will need to bring:
Trainers or approach shoes suitable for walking in
Warm fleece
Waterproof jacket & trousers
Small day rucksack
Long trousers & shorts suitable for climbing in
Warm jacket as evenings can get chilly
Any personal climbing equipment you wish to use
Camera
Swim wear
Suncream, hat & glasses
Towel & wash bag
Climbing equipment to bring:
Rock boots/ Climbing Shoes
Harness and Helmet Belay device
60 meter rope (x2 if you want to go multi pitch climbing)
Sports climbing rack to include; belay device, 4x screw gate krabs, 14 Quick Draws, Prussik loops 3x 6mm cord 1.5 metres long, 1x 60 cm sling for a ‘cows tail’, 1x 120cm sling.
Head torch and spare batteries
Insurance:
Please ensure you have up to date travel & activity insurance for Thailand, to cover rock climbing activities and any other activities you think you may participate in whilst in Thailand. You will need to send details of this to us and bring a copy with you. We will be unable to proceed with the course with out it.
